Helloooo September.
I am such a fall/winter girly! I am welcoming a new season with open arms. I have already pulled all of my fall and Halloween boxes from the garage and am starting to mix some things in here and there. It’s been honestly so mood boasting for me, haha. Of course it doesn’t help that I begin painting pumpkins for the shop in August, this always gets me extra excited for the season ahead.
This past month was mostly spent on the first batch of custom pumpkins. Also wrapping up a few wedding projects I’ve been working on for the last few months for some sweet brides. I did a couple of brand collabs on instagram which was super fun to try something new. I love styling and photography, so this has given me an outlet to do more of that, it’s reminiscent of the old SKS days when I did so much photography as well. I loved working with Frame It Easy on some gorgeous new frames. I absolutely love the pink/red combo which is a perfect compliment to my brand colors and our front/sitting room. I also tried their print option with some digital downloads on Etsy for Z’s room. Another thing I’m looking forward to work wise, is market season! I can’t wait to get back out there and sell in person while meeting new and catching up with returning customers.
On the home front, we upgraded Z’s room to a ‘big boy bed’ and it’s been so sweet to see his excitement over it. I can’t say it has made bedtime go more smoothly yet though, ha. But he loves it. He’s also been picking out some pumpkins to decorate his room with which makes my Halloween mama heart so happy. lol. We have actual plans for a covered patio now and I’ve just been planning and dreaming all things porch and garden lately. It’s so humid right now, I’m looking forward to sprucing up the plants and getting back to work on our raised garden beds this fall. We have sooo many home projects left still! I hold myself over by constantly rearranging the areas that are ‘done’. Let’s be honest, it will never be finished but that’s okay. I love to switch things up. On the bright side, it has made us take our time and make really thoughtful decisions that we hope to love for a very long time.
