At any time of year, there is no shortage of pink and red over here. So you know I love to lean into all the fun Valentines Day items! I added a couple new odds and ends from Target this year and the hanging honeycomb hearts from Bonjour Fete. I hand painted these red taper candles last year which was a fun, easy DIY that adds a little extra cuteness to the table. I know Valentine’s Day can get a big eye roll from some. The way I see it though, is why not celebrate love in all it’s different and wonderful forms. And sometimes it’s just fun to decorate for a holiday. It doesn’t have to be romantic at all. My husband and I rarely do anything or exchange gifts these days but we do have a special dinner at home which is more our speed with Z. Little holiday traditions are becoming increasingly more fun with him each year and I love to see his excitement when I redecorate for various themes and holidays 🙂 I asked him what we should do for a special dinner on Friday and he said “heart pizza!” And so that is what we shall do. Until then, I’ll be baking and crafting and I think I’m having more fun with his class Valentines than he is. lol.
